Small business owner, Belinda Baptiste, convinced of the power of community and inspired by the financial assistance her own children had received toward their education, founded the Unforgettable Dream Fund in 2020. 

 

Based in Savannah, Georgia, we are a growing network of community partners, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and small businesses. We are united in our desire to fund motivated students from underserved communities to complete their degree at a historically Black college or university.

 

Our approach is to start local – in Savannah, Georgia – and one student at a time, and to grow from there. We are currently raising funds to send our first Unforgettable Dream Fund scholarship recipient to our partner institution – Xavier University of Louisiana. More funds will mean we can increase the number of students and HBCUs with which we partner.
